Edith Ray Gregorson; illustrated by Barbara Jones

Edith Ray Gregorson was Robert Aickman's wife from 1941 until 1957. This is one of two children's books written by her—the other being Lemuel—and features the story of a tramcar named Timothyl. The book is illustrated with three-colour drawings by Barbara Jones. Ironically, this book is rarer than many if not all of Aickman's own editions. A copy was being offered for sale online in December 2004 at a price of £500.

"I have been unable to trace any publishing details for this title: it does not occur in the British National Bibliography, the Cumulative Book List, the National Union Cataloue or any other bibliographic record. It is not in the British Library either, and I have only seen two copies" (B.C.Bloomfield).
